Snow Routes & Parking Bans
Automatic Parking Bans:
Automatic parking bans take effect on SNOW ROUTES only any time there is an accumulation of 2″ of snow/ice and and additional 1″ or more is forecasted.
- The parking ban is complete once the snow event has ended and the street is plowed from curb to curb.
Discretionary Parking Bans:
Discretionary parking bans take effect for ALL CITY STREETS any time the City Manager or his designee declare so.
- The parking ban takes effect at the time declared, which must be at least 3 hours after the declaration.
Citizens who park on the streets during either parking ban, risk having their vehicle towed, and/or issued a $100 citation.
In the event of a City Wide Parking ban, that information will be announced through local media outlets including the City and Police Department’s social media accounts.
