INVESTIGATIONS
The Investigative Unit is responsible for the follow-up investigation of all the crimes that reach beyond the scope of the patrol personnel.
PATROL
The Patrol Division is the nucleus of the Pekin Police Department and has the responsibility of responding to criminal incidents as well as calls for service
C.I.E.R.T. (SWAT)
The Central Illinois Emergency Response Team is comprised of Police Officers from various police agencies.
K-9
The Pekin Police K-9 Unit was formed in 1993 to meet several objectives including the protection and preservation of human life and conduct searches.
SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER (SRO)
The School Resource Officer is assigned to the Pekin Community High School full time.
DRONE TEAM
The Drone Team uses drones for a variety of purposes including public safety and search and rescue.
NARCOTICS
The Narcotics Team is specially trained in the enforcement of narcotic laws and work cooperatively with other agencies.
DIGITAL FORENSICS
Digital Forensics focuses on identifying, acquiring, processing, analysing and reporting on data stored electronically.
CRISIS NEGOTIATOR
A crisis negotiator helps de-escalate dangerous situations through direct communications with people threatening violence.
FIELD TRAINING OFFICER
Train new hires and lateral transfers in the patrol tactics, policy’s and procedures of the Pekin Police Department.
RANGE OFFICERS
Range officers are trained to assist with department firearm training, tactical training, and use of force training.
HONOR GUARD
The Honor Guard stands ready to serve for Funerals, special events, and ceremonies.
